This two chord classic (Em and Am in case you wondered) was the first thing we recorded on the day. Darren Hayman features on wurlitzer keyboard. He loves that 'John Carpenter soundtrack sound', does Darren. It certainly sounds good here. At some point, Darren 'replies' melodically to what I play on the guitar in my solo. It's a nice moment. I really love listening to Jonny's drumming on all these tracks, too, especially this one. He's so great here! The original is on Ghost Tropic, another very highly recommended album.

This is one of the strongest albums by Stanley Brinks and this alone speaks volumes about its quality and merits, since Mr. Brinks's material is always great. The Wave Pictures are doing a terrific job as his backing band and the results are simply breathtaking. This has so many merits that a simple review can not cover. His voice sax and guitar sound is distinctive, yet I find that fans of Hefner, Jonathan Richman, Velvet Underground, Violent Femmes will certainly enjoy this immensely. Vassilis Gonis
